The drawing board began as a form of escape. While studying law — a field built on logic, discipline, and endless reading — I felt myself drifting. I needed a way back to something that felt like me. So I picked up a pen. What started as late-night sketches quickly became a daily ritual. I created a drawing account, @stormyandink, and rediscovered the quiet joy of getting lost in linework.

Drawing reconnected me with the creativity I’d known as a child, encouraged by my artist mother. It helped me focus, slow down, and listen inwards — something law school never allowed space for. In the end, this creative pull grew louder than any sense of obligation, and I left law to pursue a path in design. These illustrations are where that journey began.

Since then, I’ve also created custom illustrations for streamers like wtfudduhduh and my all-time favorite, iijerichoii — merging fandom, community, and creativity in one line at a time.
